At the BBDHC, we do not have a dentist present on site. The dental hygienist records any suspicious areas they may find in your mouth and inform you about them. You can give your hygienist consent to send a referral letter to your dentist updating them on our findings. If you don’t have a dentist, we can recommend and refer you to one of your choice.

Prescreening, mask wearing, and waiting room use are all contingent on the public health recommendations and College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario regulations and do change from time to time. Permanent changes that have been made at BBDHC include a plexiglass barrier at the front desk, doors have been put on the operatories to contain any aerosols produced during dental hygiene treatment. An ERV (air exchange) system now circulates the air through the operatories providing 50 air changes per hour with outside air. The dental hygienists wear a gown, N95 mask and face shield during assessment and dental hygiene treatment..
