Marcia grew up in McArthurs Mills. When it was time for college she moved to Toronto to attend Regency Dental Hygiene Academy Inc. where she received her diploma in dental hygiene. After college, she moved for a few short months and worked part-time dental reception and part-time dental hygiene in Bancroft before moving to Campbellford where she worked full time as a dental hygienist for three years. During her full-time work in Campbellford, she completed continuing education to allow her to work independently at her own dental hygiene clinic. From there Marcia set her sights on an area closer to her hometown. Barry’s Bay caught her eye because of its small-town hospitality and the need for better access to dental hygiene services. After buying the old meat market, tearing it down, and building the new dental hygiene clinic in its place, Marcia has now made herself at home in Barry’s Bay with her husband Dale and two small children.
Brooke is a local dental hygienist, born and raised in Barry’s Bay. You may recognize her from the years she worked at the Valu Mart as a cashier. After completing a co-op placement at BBDHC in high school Brooke ventured off to College in Barrie where she received her advanced diploma in Dental Hygiene from Georgian College. After her short stent in the city, Brooke realized she prefers small town living and moved home to Barry’s Bay where she now works full time at BBDHC since September 2020. Brooke enjoys outdoor activities like hunting and fishing and is currently building a small homestead with her fiancé Caleb in the Palmer Rapids area.
Candace is young local woman who was born and raised in Barry’s Bay. After finishing high school at MVDHS she moved to Ottawa where she earned a diploma in Fitness and Heath Promotion from Algonquin College. Candace started working at BBDHC in January of 2022. She is often the voice on the phone, the smile at the front desk, and the one answering your emails. Candace is a busy woman, working at BBDHC part time and also working at Valu-Mart part time.
